Ïanà- redirect
Ïanà (pronounced "eye-ya-no") is both a dialect and writing system invented by Ián Ivan in 1880.
Ïanà is a French-influenced dialect of the Slovak language. Numbers are only written as numerals and they are pronounced as they are in Russian. The Ïanà writing system only has three "base" letters. I, a and n. It uses over 30 accent marks. The pronunciation is difficult and best left to oral example.
There are around 500 speakers of Ïanà, mostly descendants of Ián's children, relatives and friends. Famous books written in Ïanà include äñiai aniânnânan (Kings of Russia) and Ñâí 30 ííñ íni nañå (30 cows from the earth). Ián Ivan also changed his name to ÏÏn, meaning "creator of words" in Ïanà.
