Congo

Congo is the name of:

The Congo River in central Africa.
The basin of that river. The Congo and its subsidiaries run through the second largest rain forest area in the world, only the Amazon Rainforest being (much) larger. See: Congo River basin.
In Vodun, a rather dull and lazy spirit was named Congo.
A novel by Michael Crichton. For the book, see Congo (novel).

There are also two countries in Africa both named Congo, after the river:

Republic of the Congo - Congo/Brazzaville, the smaller one in the west.
Democratic Republic of the Congo - formerly Zaire - Congo/Kinshasa, the larger one in the east. See also: Congo Free State.
