Newseum

The Newseum will be an interactive museum dedicated to the news, and is slated to open in 2006 in Washington, D.C It is being designed by the firm of Ralph Appelbaum and Associates.

It formerly existed across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. in Rosslyn, Virginia, but was closed on March 3, 2002 in order to concentrate on building the newer, larger museum. The original museum opened on April 18, 1997, and had 2.2 million visitors in its five years of operation.
