TeleworkTelework is an expression for work performed from a distance, typically over a network such as the Internet, as opposed to work performed directly on site. At the beginning of the 21st century, it is an area of work rapidly increasing in size and importance. One of the primary forms of telework is telecommuting, in which the teleworker/telecommuter has the option of commuting to the work site rather than working at a distance.
Telework has also been the enabling factor for Offshore Outsourcing.
