MinstrelA minstrel was a wandering bard who played songs to tell stories about other places or about historical events to the common townsfolk of the Middle Ages. They were eventually replaced by the troubadours as the courts became more sophisticated, but were still well liked by the common folk until the middle of the Renaissance.
