Rhondda

Rhondda is an area of Mid Glamorgan in Wales. It is known for its [[coal mining], choirs and community spirit. From 1974 to 1996 it was a District of Wales - it now forms part of Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council area.

During its heyday, the two Rhondda Valleys, the Fawr [big] and Fach [small] exported millions of toins of top grade coal and produced almost one-third of the total Welsh coal export in 1913.
